High blood pressure

Blood pressure is the reading of the measure of pressure inside your blood vessels at two points, when your heart is beating and when it is relaxed. If the pressure in your vessels gets above normal, or too high, this is called hypertension. High blood pressure is a directly link to your weight. As your weight increases, your blood pressure increases.

Although this a long list of health problems, you can change it and lower your health risks simply by losing the weight that you are carrying around.

In addition to the health risks and effects of obesity on your health, think about the effects of obesity on your family. If you become sick from one of the listed range of problems, not only will it be a financial strain but also a mental and emotional strain on your friends and family.
